BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Apr 17, 2023 <br /> AT 11:29:47 am <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0922 <br /> END PAGE 0922 <br /> INSTRUMENT # 02221 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> RESOLUTION OF REAPPOINTMENT OF <br /> LEE COUNTY TAX ADMINISTRATOR <br /> WHEREAS,the General Assembly of North Carolina, acting pursuant to Article Vi, Section 9 of <br /> the North Carolina Constitution has by general law declared that the Office of County Assessor, <br /> North Carolina General Statue 105-294(f) and the Office of Tax Collector, North Carolina <br /> General Statute 105-349(a) are offices that may be held concurrently by a qualified appointee; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners has conferred the title of Tax Administrator to the <br /> combined position of County Assessor and Tax Collector; and <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Brown has the qualifications to serve in both capacities. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that Michael Brown is appointed to the position of <br /> Tax Administrator for a term expiring May 31, 2027, and as such, he shall have the powers and <br /> duties of both County Assessor and Tax Collector and he is directed to take the Oath of Office <br /> and file the necessary bond to comply with statutory requirements. <br /> Adopted this the 4�h day of March, 2023. <br /> Kirt D.
