BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Jan 06, 2023 <br /> AT 02:23:00 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0886 <br /> END PAGE 0886 <br /> INSTRUMENT# 00087 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES AS SURPLUS <br /> PROPERTY THROUGH ONLINE PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee owns three vehicles, as described on Attachment A, that <br /> are surplus to its needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 153A-176 and 160A-270 allows the County <br /> to sell personal property at public auction upon approval of the Lee County Board Of <br /> Commissioners and after publication of a notice announcing the auction; and, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. The Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby declares the three vehicles, as described on <br /> Attachment A, as surplus property <br /> 2. The Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the sale at public auction <br /> the three vehicles as listed on Attachment A. <br /> 3. The Lee County Board of Commissioners authorizes the auction to be conducted <br /> through the Division of NC State Surplus Property, which conducts public auctions <br /> through electronic means. <br /> 4. The auction will be conducted beginning at a date and time determined by the NC <br /> State Surplus Property Division and that date and time will be advertised on the <br /> County's website. <br /> 5. Notice of said auction will be advertised on the County's website before the auction <br /> takes place. <br /> 6. The terms of the sale are that the property is sold in its current condition, as is, and <br /> the County gives no warranty with respect to usability of the property and <br /> 7. That the buyer will pay the full amount of his or her bid before the conclusion of the <br /> auction. Failure to make payment on the day of the auction cancels the buyer's bid. <br /> 8. That the County reserves the right to withdraw any listed property from the auction at <br /> any time before the auction sale of that property. <br /> Dated this the 14t'day of November, 2022 <br /> Kirk D.
