BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Jul 13, 2022 <br /> AT 03:37:43 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0838 <br /> END PAGE 0839 <br /> INSTRUMENT# 05440 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> i <br /> `` . <br /> MIF <br /> * 12 *. <br /> p, A► ! <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT N FIRST STREET, PIN 9643-71-7364-00, LEE COUNTY, NORTH <br /> CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee owns certain vacant property located at north First Street, <br /> PIN number 9643-71-7364-00, Lee County,North Carolina, as shown on a deed recorded in <br /> Deed Book 449, Page 410, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County, to which the <br /> record thereof reference is hereby made for more complete description; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the taxable value of the property is $3,000.00; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the above-referenced property was conveyed to the County as the result of a <br /> Sheriffs sale; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the amount of fees and taxes owed on the property as the result of such sale <br /> is $1,471.64; and, <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes §§ 153A-176 and 160A-269 permit the <br /> County to sell property by upset bid, after receipt of an offer to purchase the property; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee proposes to dispose of the above described property as it <br /> is surplus to the County's needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County received an offer submitted by David Webster("Offeror") to <br /> purchase the property described above in the amount of$1,500.00, plus any advertising costs, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Offeror has paid to the County Clerk the required 5 percent (5%) deposit on <br /> its offer and $200.00 to defray advertising and administrative services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners accepted the initial offer on <br /> September 8, 2021 and authorized staff to advertise the initial offer; and, <br /> WHEREAS, on October 28, 2021 the initial offer was advertised in The Sanford Herald, <br /> starting the 10-day upset sealed bid period; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Dargan Moore submitted a qualifyin2 unset bid in the amount of S2_000 00 <br />
