BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Jul 13, 2022 <br /> AT 03:26:21 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0834 <br /> END PAGE 0834 <br /> INSTRUMENT # 05436 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> col/At11/7 <br /> JIM , <br /> _ <br /> * * <br /> 0k <br /> CARO <br /> PROCLAMATION HONORING GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL CRUSADERS <br /> MEN'S SOCCER TEAM <br /> WHEREAS, the Grace Christian School men's soccer team,the Crusaders, exhibited hard work, dedication, and <br /> exceptional talent in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) championship; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Grace Christian School men's soccer team won the 2021 NCISAA Men's State Soccer <br /> Championship against the Greenfield School, which was scoreless midway through the second half when John <br /> Sebastian scored the only and game-winning goal while the Crusader defense staved off a late charge to defend <br /> their net and bring the championship home to Lee County; and, <br /> WHEREAS, under the leadership and guidance of Head Coach Nathaniel Rhine and Assistant Coaches Brian Smith <br /> and Jon Watters, the team was able to finish the season with a 16-5 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 <br /> record in conference play; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners recognizes the Crusaders Men's Soccer Team members Alex <br /> Montijo,Tuck Howell, Chris Gomez, Max McNeill, Patrick Larson, Andrew Garcia, Julian Limas,Jaden Smith, <br /> Braedan Waller, Bretton Piscitelli, Kaleb Smith, Valek Luna, Noah Mejan, Barrett Bullard, Carter Cummings,Jacob <br /> Megan, Yoel Cruz for the accomplishments they demonstrated throughout the season and for their <br /> commitment, perseverance and love of the sport of soccer; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners would additionally like to recognize the Crusaders who also <br /> were selected to the All-State Team, including Luke Garris, Layne Voss,John Sebastian, Guilio Cian and <br /> Goalkeeper Griffin Matthews for their endurance in defending the net and securing the game-winning goal in <br /> the second half; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Crusaders Men's Soccer Team represented Lee County admirably in the NCISAA Men's State <br /> Soccer Championship to close out a remarkable 2021 soccer season. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lee County Board of Commissioners proclaim Tuesday, April 19tH <br /> 2022 as Grace Christian School Crusaders Men's Soccer Team Day in Lee County, North Carolina and call upon <br /> residents to observe this day recognizing and celebrating the Team and their contributions to and successes <br /> shared with the Lee County community. <br /> Dated this the 18th day of April, 2022 <br /> irfaia <br /> rk..:., <br />
