BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Mar 30, 2022 <br /> AT 04:23:50 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0821 <br /> END PAGE 0822 <br /> INSTRUMENT# 02561 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br /> OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS, a request to amend the Official Zoning Map has been received from Mark Mitchell <br /> to rezone four vacant adjoining tracts of land totaling 2.43 acres with frontage on Lower Moncure <br /> Road, identified as Lee County Tax Parcels 9677-30-5514-00, 9677-30-5434-00, 9677-30-5334- <br /> 00, and 9677-30-5255-00, as depicted on Lee County Tax Map 9677, from Residential <br /> Agricultural (RA)to the Mitchell Conditional Zoning District to allow the development of the site <br /> in a commercial manner as per the information submitted with the rezoning application; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said request has been presented to the Planning Board of the Lee County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County conducted a public hearing on January <br /> 24, 2022 to receive citizen input on the requested zoning map amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County approves the request to amend the <br /> Official Zoning Map of Lee County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> THE COUNTY OF LEE: <br /> The Official Zoning Map is hereby amended to rezone four vacant adjoining tracts of land <br /> totaling 2.43 acres with frontage on Lower Moncure Road, identified as Lee County Tax Parcels <br /> 9677-30-5514-00, 9677-30-5434-00, 9677-30-5334-00, and 9677-30-5255-00, as depicted on Lee <br /> County Tax Map 9677, from Residential Agricultural (RA) to the Mitchell Conditional Zoning <br /> District to allow the development of the site in a commercial manner as per the information <br /> submitted with the rezoning application. See Exhibits A,B, C, D, and E included for reference. <br /> In making this decision, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee hereby acknowledges <br /> that the proposed zoning map amendment is consistent with the Plan SanLee long range plan <br /> designation of Maker District because this district is supportive of commercial uses, such as <br /> convenience retail, with public water and sewer and lists Highway Commercial as a current <br /> zoning district. <br />
