2012: - L <br />LEE COUNTY <br />T (D 75 V M (B 6) g? 0 C3 g <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />DESIGNATING THE CAPTAIN OF THE LEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE NARCOTICS DIVISION <br />AS THE OFFICIAL TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE NORTH CAROLINA ALCOHOLIC <br />BEVERAGE CONTROL COMMISSION ON ABC PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br />WHEREAS North Carolina General Statute §18B- 904(f) authorizes a governing body to <br />designate an official, by name or by position, to make recommendations concerning the suitability of <br />persons or locations for ABC permits; and <br />WHEREAS Lee County wishes to notify the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control <br />Commission of its designation as required by law; <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Captain of the Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics <br />Division is hereby designated to notify the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission of <br />Lee County's recommendations regarding the suitability of persons and locations for ABC permits <br />within its jurisdiction. <br />• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Captain of the Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics <br />Division is allowed to testify at a contested case hearing in which the suitability of a person or of a <br />location for an ABC permit is an issue without further qualification or authorization. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notices to Lee County of permit applications and or <br />investigations should be mailed or delivered to the official designated above at the following address: <br />Lee County Sheriff's Office <br />1401 Elm Street <br />Sanford, NC 27331 <br />Telephone: 919- 775 -5531 <br />Adopted this 21st day of May 2012. <br />ATTEST: <br />ee, Clerk <br />Linfda/a Shook, Chairman <br />Lee ounty Board of Commissioners <br />• <br />
