The Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina met in a regular <br /> meeting at the McSwain Extension Education and Agriculture Center, 2420 Tramway Road in <br /> Sanford, North Carolina, at 6:00 p.m. on May 18, 2020. <br /> Present: Chair Amy Dalrymple, presiding, and Commissioners Robert Reives, Arianna <br /> Del Palazzo, Kevin Dodson, Cameron Sharpe, Dr. Andre Knecht, and Kirk Smith <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also Present: County Manager Dr. John Crumpton, Clerk to the Board Jennifer Gamble, <br /> County Attorney Whitney Parrish, and Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter <br /> * * * * * <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter introduced the following <br /> resolution the title of which was read and a copy of which had been previously distributed to <br /> each Commissioner: <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND <br /> DETERMINATIONS, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN <br /> APPLICATION WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION <br /> AND APPOINTING BOND COUNSEL AND FINANCIAL ADVISOR IN <br /> CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION BONDS BY THE COUNTY <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") for the County of Lee, <br /> North Carolina (the "County"): <br /> Section 1. The Board does hereby find and determine as follows: <br /> (a) Preliminary studies have been completed to demonstrate the need for financing the <br /> cost of acquiring, constructing, expanding and improving various parks and recreational facilities <br /> for the County, including, without limitation, a multi-sport complex and any related land, rights <br /> of way and equipment. <br />
