2006 - <br />LEE COUNTY <br />® Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />PROCLAMATION <br />MILITARY PERSONNEL AND FAMILIES <br />APPRECIATION DAY IN LEE COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, our County's security depends on the readiness and retention of the <br />men and women of the United States Armed Forces, a total force comprised of active, <br />National Guard, and Reserve personnel; and <br />WHEREAS, our military personnel, their families and loved ones face unique and <br />pressing challenges through every stage of the deployment cycle; and <br />WHEREAS, those challenges should be met with support and recognition from <br />their civilian communities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE Be It Proclaimed by the Commissioners of Lee County, <br />® North Carolina, in conjunction with the Citizen Soldier Support Program, that Friday, <br />January 27, 2006, is hereby declared Military Family Appreciation Day in Lee County, <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER Declared that Lee County urges all citizens to recognize and <br />appreciate the extraordinary sacrifices made by both our military and the families they <br />leave behind.
