2006 - sj <br />LEE OUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />TO ABANDON PORTION <br />OF <br />ROCKY FORK CHURCH ROAD <br />(SR 1179) <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners has received a petition <br />from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT) requesting a portion <br />(0.05 miles) of Rocky Fork Church Road (SR 1179) be abandoned; and <br />WHEREAS, the above - referenced section of road was removed under the US #1 <br />Bypass project #6- 549008T; and <br />WHEREAS, residents living on the 0.05 section of Rocky Fork Church Road <br />have petitioned the North Carolina Department of Transportation to abandon the <br />• road from the State Maintained System. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners on petition from residents living on the 0.05 mile section of Rocky <br />Fork Church Road (SR 1179), hereby requests the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation to abandon the section of road removed under the U.S. #1 <br />Bypass project from the State Maintained System. <br />Adopted this 30 day of October 2006. <br />ATTES,T=_ <br />4 ayne1 M. =Lee, Clerk <br />� 1 <br />Herbert A.
