2006 - 37 <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />000V 'G J <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTON <br />IN SUPPORT OF THE CONSTRUCTION <br />OF A NEW <br />INPATIENT HOSPICE FACILITY IN <br />LEE COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, Carrolton Home Care, Inc. d /b /a Community Home Care and <br />Hospice wishes to submit a Certificate of Need Application to the State of North <br />Carolina to build a nine bed hospice impatient facility in Sanford, North Carolina; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that most hospice care can be effectively <br />managed within the home of the patient but circumstances arise in which patient <br />management becomes a major challenge for caregivers and a higher care level <br />is required; and <br />• WHEREAS, Carrolton Home Care, Inc. believes the most appropriate <br />environment for hospice patients providing inpatient care is within an inpatient <br />facility that is dedicated exclusively for the provision of hospice services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby endorse and support the Certificate of Need <br />Application to the State of North Carolina submitted by Carrolton Home Care, <br />Inc. d /b /a Community Home Care and Hospice. <br />Adopted this 30 day of October 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />'v <br />Herbert A.
