2007 - a1 <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for c Better Tomorrax <br />ORDINANCE TO EXTEND FRANCHISE <br />WITH <br />CENTRAL CAROLINA HOSPITAL <br />An Ordinance granting an extension of the franchise granted to AMISUB <br />of North Carolina, Inc., doing business as Central Carolina Hospital for <br />ambulance services until September 30, 2007_ <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, North <br />Carolina, as follows: <br />That it has determined that there continues to be a need for <br />emergency and non - emergency ambulance services in Lee County. <br />2. That Central Carolina Hospital has demonstrated it has the <br />managerial skills and financial resources to staff, equip and operate <br />ambulance services in a satisfactory manner <br />3. The purpose of the extension is to allow Central Carolina Hospital <br />to continue to provide ambulance services while it secures <br />corporate approval of a renewal of its franchises and to allow time <br />to follow the statutory procedures required for consideration of such <br />renewal. <br />4. That is has determined an extension of said franchises is <br />necessary to assure the provision of continuing emergency and <br />non - emergency ambulance service in Lee County and such action <br />will promote the public health, safety, and welfare. <br />5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption. <br />Adopted this 18` day of June 2007. <br />Robert H.
