2009 - 2 <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />FOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation is considering <br />addition of a center turn lane on NC 78 from US 1 to the Sanford city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the addition of a center turn lane would provide storage for left turn <br />movements and increase safety and reduce congestion on NC 78; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of Commissioners support the <br />recommendation to add a center turn lane on NC 78 from US 1 to the city limits of <br />Sanford. All of the above shall be carried out by the Department of Transportation. <br />• Adopted this 16`" day of March 2009. <br />Richard B.
