2009 - (/ <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Setter Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE HIGH BID <br />FOR A LOT ON <br />OAKWOOD AVENUE, SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br />r1 <br />L <br />WHEREAS, an offer to purchase a vacant lot on Oakwood Avenue, Sanford, North <br />Carolina, for the sum of $2,000.00 was received by the County Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners at its January 5, 2009 meeting, adopted a <br />Resolution declaring the property to be surplus to the county's needs and authorizing the <br />sale of the lot by the upset bid process; and <br />WHEREAS, the receipt of the offer was duly advertised and within the time allowed an <br />upset bid in the amount of $2,500.00 was received; and <br />WHEREAS, the receipt of the upset bid was duly advertised and within the time allowed an <br />upset bid in the amount of $2,675.00 was received; and <br />WHEREAS, the receipt of another upset bid was duly advertised and no upset bid was <br />received by 5:00 p.m. when the time expired on March 23, 2009; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the high bid received from Mr. Cecil W. Williams <br />in the amount of $2,675.00 is accepted and the appropriate county officials are authorized <br />to execute the documents necessary to transfer title to the property upon receipt of the <br />purchase price. <br />Adopted this 6'" day of April 2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />GaynelI M.
