LEE COUNTY <br /> Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Parks and Recreation (LCPR) 12-and-under (12U) All- <br /> Stars Youth Baseball Team exhibited hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, talent <br /> and exceptional team chemistry to earn a trip to the 2018 Dixie Youth Ozone <br /> World Series; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the 12U All-Stars won the 2018 North Carolina Dixie Youth State <br /> Championship in Eden, NC with a series of dominating performances that set up a <br /> three-way championship round; and, <br /> WHEREAS, under the leadership and guidance of Head Coach Brad Wilson and <br /> Assistant Coaches Vinnie Frazer, and Travis Seymour, the Team defeated both <br /> Kings Mountain and South Stanly to win the state title; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners recognizes the LCPR 12U All- <br /> Stars Youth Baseball Team members Cooper Harrington, Austin Ragan, Josh Hall, <br /> Bryson Pope, Drew Stanfield, DeRaye McLean, Devon Kropf, Lawton Hickman, <br /> Charlie Jeffries, Thomas Frazer, Cameron Richey and Marcus Tate-Blanks for the <br /> accomplishments they demonstrated over the past several months and for their <br /> commitment, perseverance and love of the sport of baseball; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Team represented Lee County and the State of North Carolina <br /> admirably in the 2018 Dixie Youth Ozone World Series in Lumberton, NC to close <br /> out a remarkable 2018 baseball season. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br /> proclaim August 2018 as Lee County Parks & Recreation 12-and-Under All-Stars <br /> Youth Baseball Team Month in Lee County, North Carolina and call upon <br />
