BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Jul 26, 2018 <br /> AT 04:29:37 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0495 <br /> END PAGE 0497 <br /> INSTRUMENT# 04284 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> LEE COUNTY <br /> Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT 1380, LOT 20 HOOKER STREET PIN 9642-54-4884-00 <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee and the City of Sanford owns certain vacant property <br /> located on Humber Street, PIN number 9642-54-4884-00, in the City of Sanford, Lee County, <br /> North Carolina, as shown on a deed recorded in Deed Book 1276, Page 808, in the office of the <br /> Register of Deeds for Lee County, to which the record thereof reference is hereby made for more <br /> complete description; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the taxable value of the property is $2,600.00; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the above-referenced property was conveyed to the County of Lee and the <br /> City of Sanford as a result of a foreclosure sale on Marcy 22, 2012; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the amount of fees and taxes owed on the property as the result of such sale <br /> is $7,678.93; and, <br /> WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statutes §§ 153A-176 and 160A-269 permit the <br /> County and City to sell property by upset bid, after receipt of an offer to purchase the property; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee proposes to dispose of the above described property as it <br /> is surplus to the County's needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County received an offer submitted by Brick Capital Community <br /> Development Corporation ("Offeror") to purchase the property described above in the amount of <br /> $800.00,plus any advertising costs, a copy of which is attached hereto; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Offeror has paid to the County Clerk the required 5 percent (5%) deposit on <br /> its offer; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners accepts the offer of$800.00 or any <br /> higher.upsetting offer. subiect to the unset bid procedure and contingent upon the City of <br />
