BRITT REGISTER OF DEEDS FILED Jul 26, 2018 AT 04:29:37 pm BOOK 00003 START PAGE 0495 END PAGE 0497 INSTRUMENT# 04284 EXCISE TAX (None) LEE COUNTY Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1380, LOT 20 HOOKER STREET PIN 9642-54-4884-00 WHEREAS, the County of Lee and the City of Sanford owns certain vacant property located on Humber Street, PIN number 9642-54-4884-00, in the City of Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina, as shown on a deed recorded in Deed Book 1276, Page 808, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County, to which the record thereof reference is hereby made for more complete description; and, WHEREAS, the taxable value of the property is $2,600.00; and, WHEREAS, the above-referenced property was conveyed to the County of Lee and the City of Sanford as a result of a foreclosure sale on Marcy 22, 2012; and, WHEREAS, the amount of fees and taxes owed on the property as the result of such sale is $7,678.93; and, WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statutes §§ 153A-176 and 160A-269 permit the County and City to sell property by upset bid, after receipt of an offer to purchase the property; and, WHEREAS, the County of Lee proposes to dispose of the above described property as it is surplus to the County's needs; and, WHEREAS, the County received an offer submitted by Brick Capital Community Development Corporation ("Offeror") to purchase the property described above in the amount of $800.00,plus any advertising costs, a copy of which is attached hereto; and, WHEREAS, Offeror has paid to the County Clerk the required 5 percent (5%) deposit on its offer; and, WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners accepts the offer of$800.00 or any higher.upsetting offer. subiect to the unset bid procedure and contingent upon the City of
