BRITT <br />REGISTER OF DEEDS <br />FILED Apr 19, 2018 <br />AT 02:25:22 pm <br />BOOK 00003 <br />START PAGE 0359 <br />END PAGE 0359 <br />INSTRUMENT # 02200 <br />EXCISE TAX (None) <br />WHEREAS, a strong public health system is critical for sustaining and improving the overall <br />health of the community; and, <br />WHEREAS, the week of April 2 — 8, 2018 is designated as National Public Health Week and <br />centers on the goal of "Healthiest Nation 2030"; and, <br />WHEREAS, National Public Health Week is a cooperative effort of the American Public Health <br />Association, state and local health departments, academic institutions, community groups, and <br />professional and trade associations that have joined together to promote a common interest in <br />public health; and, <br />WHEREAS, to ensure broad focus and conversation of public health issues, a daily theme has <br />been assigned from Monday — Friday to cover Behavioral Health, Communicable Diseases, <br />Environmental Health, Injury and Violence Prevention, and Ensuring the Right to Health; and, <br />WHEREAS, collaborative efforts with individuals, communities, providers and policy makers will <br />help the next generation be healthier than the one before. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lee County Board of Commissioners proclaim April <br />2 — 8, 2018 as National Public Health Week in Lee County, North Carolina and call upon <br />residents to observe this week by helping our families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and <br />leaders better understand the value of public health and adopt preventative lifestyle habits in <br />support of the goal of "Healthiest Nation 2030." <br />ADOPTED this 2nd day of April, 2018 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Amy Dalrymple, Chair <br />Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />
