I <br />JUNE 7. 2004 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad <br />Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, <br />Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as <br />Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams Hincks. Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following item: <br />Minutes from the May 3, 2004, special Water District meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal. Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Public Works Director Kenny Cole discussed with the Board the proposed FY <br />2004 -05 Lee County Water & Sewer District No. 1 budget. He told the Board that he <br />was not requesting a rate increase in the proposed budget but if the City of Sanford raises <br />their rates, the County will have to increase rates. Commissioner Paschal moved to hold <br />a public hearing on the Lee County Water & Sewer District No. 1 FY 2004 -05 budget at <br />
