Box 19 P1 873 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN IT'S CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />MAY 3, 2004 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillerest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad <br />Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, <br />Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as <br />Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Flincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following item: <br />Minutes from the March 15, 2004 meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemnrond, Matthews, Paschal. Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a joint resolution with the City of Sanford concerning the <br />1996 water maintenance agreement. Commissioners discussed various changes they <br />wished made to the agreement and asked questions of the County Manager and County <br />Attorney. After much discussion, Commissioner Pascal moved that the joint resolution, a <br />copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be <br />
