F,0On J9 PACE 8 ,5=a <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN IT'S CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />MARCH 15. 2004 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was <br />held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Flillcrest Drive, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Jerry M. Lemmond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. <br />J Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as Secretary of <br />the meeting. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Aye: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which consisted of the <br />following item: <br />Minutes of the February 16, 2004, meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered revisions to the ordinance for mandatory water taps that was <br />adopted at the December 15, 2003, meeting. After some discussion, Chairman Hincks moved to <br />approve the revised Ordinance to Require Owners of Property Developed After Enactment to <br />Connect Premises to the Lee County Water System, a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />
