AIM BOX 19 PGGE M MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN IT'S CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. l JANUARY 12, 2004 A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillerest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lenunond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. J Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as Secretary of the meeting. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenunond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which consisted of the following item: Minutes of the December 15, 2003, meeting Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a mandatory ordinance to require property owners of property developed after enactment to connect to the district's water system. Public Works Director Kenny Cole outlined the ordinance and told Board members they had to vote on it a second time since the ordinance did not pass with a unanimous vote at the last meeting.
