AIM BOX 19 PGGE M <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN IT'S CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. l <br />JANUARY 12, 2004 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillerest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad <br />Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lenunond, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, <br />Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />J Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as <br />Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lenunond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following item: <br />Minutes of the December 15, 2003, meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a mandatory ordinance to require property owners of <br />property developed after enactment to connect to the district's water system. Public <br />Works Director Kenny Cole outlined the ordinance and told Board members they had to <br />vote on it a second time since the ordinance did not pass with a unanimous vote at the last <br />meeting. After sonic discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to approve an Ordinance <br />
