BCo i8 PIGE 5944 130 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />OCTOBER 1, 2001 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />J Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad <br />Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and <br />John L Sauls. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as <br />Secretary of the meeting. <br />The board considered additional agenda items. Chairman Hincks moved to <br />approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following items: <br />• Minutes of the September 4, 2001 meeting <br />• Minutes of the September 17, 2001 meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Matthews <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board considered a matter pertaining to dry tap installations in the Phase I <br />water project. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the board that there are currently <br />
