Am <br />eeoz 18 N.cE 14RF 179 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />June 19, 2000 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Govenuncut Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee <br />J County Board of Commissioners held on said dale. Commissioners present were W. <br />Chad Adams, F. Hubert Garner, Herbert A. Hincks, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. <br />Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and John I. SaulS. <br />Chairman Flincks presided and Gaynell M. Lee, Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners acted as Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following item: <br />• Minutes of the June 5, 2000 meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauk <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />'rhe Board considered Phase 11 of the Lee County Water Project. Public Works <br />Director Kenny Cole and Hobbs, & Upchurch Engineer Tim Carpenter discussed the <br />Phase II project with the Board and answered various questions. Mr. Cole told the Board <br />that they currently have approximately 76% sign -up participation in the project and the <br />
