- T <br />0 i <br />���& 17 PAGE 896 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />OCTOBER 4, 1999 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners present were W. <br />Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. <br />Reives, and John 1. Sauls. Commissioner F. Hubert Garner was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Gaynell M. Lee, Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners acted as Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Adams moved, to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted of the following item: <br />• Minutes of the September 7, 1999 meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Garner <br />The Chairman riled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Public Works Director Kenny Cole asking <br />that the Board extend the deadline period for sign -ups for the Phase II Water Project <br />from October 1, 1999 to November 30, 1999, at the reduced tap fee of $75.00. After <br />November 30, 1999 the tap fee would increase to $125.00. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the extension period for sign -ups for the <br />Phase II Water Project from October 1, 1999 to November 30, 1999. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Garner <br />
