a <br />il�ox 17 PacF 881 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />SEPTEMBER 7, 1999 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners present were W. <br />Chad Adams, F. Hubert Garner, Herbert A. Hincks, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. <br />Paschal. and John 1. Sallls. Commissioner Robert T. Reives was absent. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Gaynell M. Lee, Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners acted as Secretary of the meeting. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which <br />consisted ofthe following item: <br />Minutes of the August 23, 1999 meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and SanIS <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a report from Public Works Director Kenny Cole concerning <br />examples of how a policy on dry water taps would affect customers. After some <br />discussion, Commissioner Adams moved to approve the dry tap policy, which Would <br />include examples as presented by Mr. Cole. Upon a vote, the results Were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and SaLlls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
