LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MODIFICATION OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH SANFORD BUGGY <br />BUILDING, LLC FOR THE CO -LOCATION OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />SERVICES AT THE SANFORD BUGGY FACTORY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sanford and Lee County Intergovernmental Relations Committee has <br />developed a plan by which the various City and County Community and Economic Development <br />Departments and agencies will be co -located into one facility in order to increase efficiencies and <br />effectiveness of all aspects of development for Sanford and Lee County; and, <br />WHEREAS, along with the Sanford -Lee County Partnership for Prosperity, doing business as <br />Sanford Area Growth Alliance (SAGA), it is the intent of the City and County to co -locate the following <br />departments and agencies: Community Development, Planning, Building Inspections, Code <br />Enforcement, Downtown Sanford, Inc., Strategic Services (GIS), Environmental Health and Marketing; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners and the Sanford City Council passed <br />resolutions on June 16, 2014 and June 17, 2014, respectively, supporting the Buggy Factory location and <br />directing city and county staff to develop the necessary agreements for approval by the County <br />Commissioners and City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapters 153A and 160A of the North Carolina General Statutes and <br />Adopted this the a I5i'day of August, 2017. <br />Amy M.
