MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. I <br />APRIL 6, 1998 <br /> <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. I was <br />held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, <br />/ North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of <br />v Commissioners held on said data Commissioners.present were Jimmie M. Cox, F. Hubert Garner, <br />T. Ervin Mansfield. Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner <br />J. Douglas Moretz was absent. <br />Chairperson Matthews presided and Gaynell M. Lee, Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the meeting. <br />Chairperson Matthews asked the Board to consider water expansion refunds and requests. <br />Commissioner Garner moved the above item be added to the agenda. Commissioner Cox seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Ave: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews. Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which consisted of <br />the following item: <br />• Minutes of the January 5, 1998 meeting <br />Commissioner Rcives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Ave: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews. Paschal and Rcives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a change order to McMahan Brothers Pipeline in the amount of <br />$19,987.75. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board the change order was due to the <br />hydraulic improvements being made by the City of Sanford. Commissioner Cox moved to approve <br />the change order in the amount of $19,987.75 to McMahan Brothers Pipelines Commissioner <br />Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
