nox H pta 67 0 1 0 4 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACTIY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO <br />NOVEMBER 18, 1996 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners present were Jimmie <br />M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F.Hubert Garner; Van R. Groce; Bertha L. Matthews; J. <br />Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and Gaynell M. Beal, Clerk to the Board of <br />Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the meeting. <br />The Board considered the draft of the minutes of the October 21, 1996, Lee <br />County Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Reives moved to <br />approved the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an amendment to the Rules and Regulations for Phase I of <br />the water policy concerning tap restrictions. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the <br />Board he recommended all users having larger than a 5/8" x 3/4" size connection may be <br />considered commercial. After some discussion Commissioner Cox moved that any <br />resident living at least 350 feet from the main water line be allowed to have a 1" tap if they <br />desired. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
