nox H pta 67 0 1 0 4 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN ITS CAPACTIY AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO NOVEMBER 18, 1996 A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F.Hubert Garner; Van R. Groce; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Chairman Garner presided and Gaynell M. Beal, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the meeting. The Board considered the draft of the minutes of the October 21, 1996, Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Reives moved to approved the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered an amendment to the Rules and Regulations for Phase I of the water policy concerning tap restrictions. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board he recommended all users having larger than a 5/8" x 3/4" size connection may be considered commercial. After some discussion Commissioner Cox moved that any resident living at least 350 feet from the main water line be allowed to have a 1" tap if they desired. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously.
