0 Boor, 16 iw 174 156 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * AUGUST 21, 1995 A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County J Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. The Board considered the draft of the minutes of the August 7, 1995, Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a resolution for absentee ballots for the November 7, 1995, election. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board a resolution needed to be adopted at least sixty (60) days prior to the November 7th election day. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the following resolution: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABSENTEE VOTING BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, sitting as the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1, that absentee voting be permitted in the referendum for approval of water bonds of the District in the amount of $9,300,000. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None 1
