0 Boor, 16 iw 174 156 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />AUGUST 21, 1995 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and <br />Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />J Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, <br />immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners' present were Jimmie <br />M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. <br />The Board considered the draft of the minutes of the August 7, <br />1995, Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner Reives <br />moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution for absentee ballots for the <br />November 7, 1995, election. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the <br />Board a resolution needed to be adopted at least sixty (60) days <br />prior to the November 7th election day. Commissioner Matthews moved <br />to approve the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABSENTEE VOTING <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of <br />Lee, sitting as the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1, that absentee voting be permitted in the referendum <br />for approval of water bonds of the District in the amount of <br />$9,300,000. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />1 <br />
