I 4D 690f 16 mrf 1 060 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * APRIL 17, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, i/ immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F.Hubert Garner; J. Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. Mr. F. Hubert Garner, Chairman, presided and Mrs. Gaynell M. Beal, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the meeting. The Board considered a letter dated April 7, 1995, from Jackie E. McLamb, District Director of Farmers Home Administration, seeking guidance from the Lee County Water and Sewer District Commissioners on pursuing rural economic and community development services from their agency. The letter was asking for the district's perception on the Lee County's citizens response to this project prior to authorizing the allocation of time to complete the environmental assessment by their agency. After some discussion it was decided to place this item on the next agenda for the May 1, 1995, meeting. No action was taken on the matter. The Board considered cost estimates for a water district election. County Manager William Cowan presented to the Board cost estimates on conducting a water bond referendum for the countywide water project. A date for the election to be held was discussed. Commissioner Stafford moved to adjourn the meeting of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None 1
