Boaz 15 Pea 974 0l 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND.SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />MARCH 20, 1995 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and <br />Sewer District No. 1 was held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, <br />immediately following the regular meeting of the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners held on said date. Commissioners' present were Jimmie <br />J M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; J. Douglas Moretz; <br />Robert T. Reives; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Mr. F. Hubert Garner, Chairman, presided and Mrs. Gaynell M. <br />Beal, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, acted as Secretary of the <br />meeting. <br />The Board considered the minutes from the special called <br />February 20, 1995, meeting. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the <br />minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a "cap" amount for a legal service <br />agreement for the Lee County Water District. County Attorney K. R. <br />Hoyle explained to the Board that the Rural Economic & Community <br />Development Services has notified our office that a "cap" must be <br />placed on fees for services on the Legal Service Agreement for the <br />Lee County Water District. A "cap" of "not to exceed $26,000 per <br />year" has been added to the agreement. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to accept a "cap" not to exceed $26,000.00 <br />per year to the Legal Service Agreement for the Lee County Water <br />District No. 1. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />1 <br />
