B K: 00026 PG. -0957 U 14- LEE COUNTY Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION HONORING COMMISSIONER JAMES K. WOMACK FOR DEDICATED SERVICE WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners wishes to acknowledge and express its appreciation to James K. Womack for his service as a member of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Mining and Energy Commission; and WHEREAS, James K. Womack was elected to the Lee County Board of Commissioners in November 2010 and sworn into office on December 6, 2010, and WHEREAS, James K. Womack was appointed to the Mining and Energy Commission in September 2012 and appointed Chairman of the Commission later that same month; and WHEREAS, James K. Womack has worked tirelessly to help with developing a modern regulatory program for the management of oil and gas exploration and development activities in North Carolina, including the tfse of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack also serves as a member of the Lee County Economic Development Corporation Board, Environmental Review & Advisory Committee, and as the alternate member of the Fort Bragg Regional Alliance; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to recognize the achievements of Commissioner James K. Womack and to express its appreciation to him for his dedicated service and contribution to Lee County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County that it wishes for Commissioner Womack continued success in his service to the citizens of Lee County. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the meeting of this Board and a copy be presented to Commissioner Womack.
