MINUTES OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS September 30, 1957 The Board of County Commissioners of Lee County met in special called session, as by law provided, on Monday night, September 30, 1957, in the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse. .The following members of the Board were present for dispatch of business: Commissioners J. M. Cheshire, Clyde J. Atkins, Percy Measamer and Sion H. Kelly. Chairman Percy Measamer presided and the following business was transacted: Mr. W. H. Campbell, Tax Collector of Lee County appeared before the Board and presented his account for tax levy for 1956, and it appearing that the County auditors had examined and checked the tax settlement statement of W. H. Campbell, Tax Collector of Lee County, for the year 1956, up to September 30, 1957 and had found the same correct and in order, said statement and accounting being as follows, to-wit: T Charges Credits Tax Books Charged October 1, 1956 $385, 616. 24 Discoveries 804. 51 Schedule "B" Licenses 2, 113. 42 Penalties 2, 705. 51 Costs 124. 50 Insolvents Allowed • $ 940. 85 Reliefs Granted 2, 232 253 Land Sales 12, 821. 65 Discounts Allowed 657. 46 Commission on Schedule "B" Licenses 105. 67 Remittances to Lee County 374, 606. 02 TOTALS $391, 364. 18 $391, 364. 18 The above settlement approved this 30th day of September, 1957. Thereupon, Commissioner Kelly offered and moved the adoption of the following resolution, to-wit: "Be it resolved that said audit and statement be and the same is hereby approved and ordered filed and recorded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the tax books for the year 1957 be certified by the Chairman of the Board and delivered to W. H. Campbell, Tax Collector of Lee County, for collection, said certificate being as follows, towit:
