M. <br /> on Tuesday, April 8, 1958 in the Commissioners Room at the courthouse <br /> pursuant to motion of adjournment 'of April 7, 1958. Commissioners J. M. <br /> Cheshire, Percy Measamer, Evander Winstead, Sion H. Kelly and Clyde <br /> J. Atkins were present for dispatch of business. Chairman Measamer presided <br /> and the following business was transacted: <br /> W. D. Gregson, Veteran Service Officer, Presented the monthly report <br /> of his office. <br /> D. F. Holder, Sheriff, presented monthly report for the Sheriff's Department. <br /> The Chairman read a letter from Mrs. CatherinaG. Taylor, Secretary <br /> of the Lee County Library Board of Trustees; in which letter Mrs. Taylor <br /> submitted the nomination of James R. McIver as a member of the Lee County <br /> Library Board of Trustees. On motion of Commissioner Winstead, seconded <br /> by Commissioner Atkins, the nomination of the said James R. McIver, as a <br /> member of the Lee County Library Board of Trustees, was unanimously <br /> approved for a term ending December 31, 1963. <br /> On motion of Commissioner Atkins, which motion was seconded by , <br /> ,,Commissioner Winstead, the Board authorized-Dr., J. M.' McKinnon, County <br /> Veterinarian, to advertise dates -and places of the vaccination program,for <br /> all dogs in Lee County and to handle said program and vaccination in the same <br /> manner as during the last year? • • <br /> Commissioner Winstead mbved .the'adoption of a road petition submitted <br /> by W. D. Belton, which' petition requested that a road in Jonesboro Township <br /> in the Homemont Subdivision running from the-Cox road west along Truelove <br /> Street, Cooper Street, Cole Street and Forrest Avenue be added to the Highway <br /> System and maintained by the State Highway Commission. The motion for the <br /> adoption of said petition was seconded by Commissioner Atkins and the same <br /> ��was unanimously adopted. <br />
