• <br /> • <br /> SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> • July 15, 1959 <br /> • The Board of Commissioners of Lee County met in Special Session in the <br /> Commissioners Room at the Courthouse on Wednesday night, July 15, 1959, <br /> pursuant to notice duly given,:as by law required. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 o'clock P. M. •with the following <br /> members of the Board present: <br /> • <br /> Commissioners ,Kelly, Giioce, Measamer and Atkins. <br /> Chairman Sion H. Kelly presided and the-following business was <br /> transacted: • _ • - <br /> The heads of the-various.agencies and departments of the County were <br /> • interviewed by the Board and they discussed in detail with the Board the <br /> operation of their various departments and agencies. No formal action was <br /> taken with respect :to' any of the'matters;discussed by the department heads. <br /> • <br /> The County 'Attorney was, instructed to investigate the question of whether <br /> a permit was necessary to haul garbage. The County Attorney was also <br /> instructed to determine .whether a permit was required in Lee County for the <br /> operation of a junk yard. <br /> There then followed a detailed-discussion of tax foreclosure policies <br /> and procedures in the county.
