MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> of <br /> • BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS . <br /> December 17, 1959 <br /> The Board of County Commissioners of Lee County met in <br /> special call session, pursuant to-notice. duly issued as. bylaw required, <br /> . on the 17th day of December, 1959, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. , in the <br /> Commissioners' Room at the Courthouse, with the following members of <br /> the Board present for dispatch of business: • - <br /> Commissioners Sion H. Kelly, Clyde J. Atkins, Evander Winstead <br /> and Percy Measamer. <br /> Chairman Sion H. Kelly presided 'and the following business was <br /> transacted: <br /> Commissioner Percy Measamer discussed with the Board his <br /> activities in screening and interviewing candidates for the position of <br /> Superintendent of the County Home. Each prospect was discussed and <br /> analyzed with the Board by Commissioner Measamer. <br /> Commissioner Measamer then recommended that Mn & Mrs. <br /> Curtis Yarborough be appointed as Superintendent of the Lee County <br /> Home at the same salary now being paid Mr. & Mrs. Campbell and Mr. <br /> Measamer thereupon moved their election as of January 1, 1960.. This <br /> motion was seconded by Commissioner Atkins and the motion was <br /> adopted by the unanimous vote of the Board. <br /> T. Paul Watson, City Manager of the City of Sanford, discussed <br /> • with the Board the progress being made in the erection of the industrial <br /> water tank in the Jonesboro Heights Section of the City of Sanford. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br /> meeting was adjourned. <br /> • <br /> Chairman <br /> Attested: <br /> Clerk <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br />
