M. , on 3 January 1961, in the Comtmissioner'd Room at the Lee County Court House. Those present were Chairman Clyde J. 'Atkins, Commissioners Edward W. Cos, Ralph Croce,'Percy Measarner,:Evander C. 'Winstead. None of the • Commissioners were absent. • Chairman Clyde J. Atkins presided and the following business was transacted: . The minutessof the adjourned regular meeting held on 12 December 1960 were read and approved. Mary Estelle Doyle, County Home Eccnonmics.Agent, gave a;report on the activities of her•office for the month of December. • Mr. Ken Harmon,' County Agricultural•Agent and Mr. Norman Brickhouse. Assistant County Agricultural Agent, both:reported on the activities of their office: Mrs. Louise Dowdy gave the report of the Health Department and for the Sanitarian. Mrs. Laura Rosser, Superintendent, presented the report for the Lee County Department of Public Welfare . Mr. L. L. -Beckham, Director of Civil Defense, gave a report on the activities of his office. Mr. W. 0. Cres:on, presented the monthly report of the Board of Veterani's affairs: Mr. E. P. Clark, Superintendent of County Buildin.t:, appeared before the Board and gave a report on the condition of all buildings owned by the County. • C. F. Holder, Sheriff, presented a written report on the activities of his office.'. • Mr. John C. 'Muse, of the firm of John C. Muse end Company, presented a written audit of the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Lee County. Mr. Hugh Talley appeared before the Board to discuss complaints which have been received concerning the improper disposition of dead animal carcasses. • 4
