<br /> pursuant to'a cail•by the Chairman convened at 10:O0.a. m.•.on Friday;
<br /> the 28th day of April, 1961, in the Commissioners'Room at the Cee.,
<br /> County,Courthouse, the same being the time; date and place specified
<br /> • in the notice of said meeting. • • .
<br /> Those:present when-the meeting,was called to order were: • •
<br /> . Chairman Clyde I. Atkins, Cotnnissioners Edward W '•Cox, Ralph Croce,
<br /> • Percy Measamer and Evander C;:Winstead. None of the Commissioners •
<br /> were absent: •
<br /> Chairman Clyde J. Atkins presided and the following business was
<br /> transacted: •
<br /> Commissioner Cox moved that•the following resolution be adopted:
<br /> 'WHEREAS, the Local Government Commission of North.
<br /> Carolina had informed'the Board'of Commissioners that it has
<br /> sold; in them manner prescribed.by.law, the.$282, 000 School Building
<br /> Bonds, Settee.A, 'the.$293,000 Public Hospital Bonds, Series A, . •
<br /> the $150,000 County Jail Bonds, and the $275,•000 Industrial'Education
<br /> • Center-Bonds, of the County of Lee; :dated May 1, 1961, authorized to •
<br /> be'issued by the bond orders adopted.by the Board of Commissioners
<br /> ' • on September 6, 4l960, and that the contract of sale contemplates that
<br /> . • said bonds shallbear interest as hereinafter provided; NOW THEREFORE,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the bonds payable hi each of the,years
<br /> 1962 to 1974, inclusive; shall bear•interest at the rate of 6 o per..
<br /> annuin,, and the bonds payable•in each of the years 1975 to 1983, .
<br /> •• inclusive, .shall bear interest at the rate of 3-3/4% per annum; and
<br /> the bonds•payable-in each of the years 1984 to'1986, inclusive, shall
<br /> 'bear'interest at the rate of 1% per annum. • • '
<br /> Commissioner Measamer seconded the motion, and the motion,was
<br /> 1 adopted by the following vote: . .

<br /> There being no further business to come before the session, upon •
