BOOK 6 PACE 297 <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR <br /> LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> Monday, 4 January 1965 <br /> The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Lee <br /> County, North Carolina, convened at 10:00 o'clock a. m. on Monday, January <br /> 4th, 1965, in the Commissioner's Room at the Lee County Courthouse. Thos.t <br /> present were Chairman John E. Dotterer, and Commissioners Sion H. Kelly, <br /> J. T. Ledwell, Max McLeod and Charles Robert Yaw. None of the Comm- <br /> issioners were absent. <br /> Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br /> was transacted: <br /> The draft of minutes of the regular meeting of December 7th, <br /> 1964, were considered;' amended; and, as amended, approved and ordered <br /> recorded. <br /> . The bond of Warren David Thomas, with Fidelity and Deposit <br /> Company of Maryland as surety, to the State of North Carolina,. in the amount. <br /> of $1, 000 as Constable of East Sanford Township was approved and ordered <br /> delivered to Register of Deeds, upon motion of Commissioner Kelly, second- <br /> ed by Commissioner Yow and upon a vote as follows: <br /> Aye: Kelly, Ledwell, McLeod, Yow and Dotterer <br /> No: None <br /> Commissioner McLeod reported that the committee on employ- <br /> ment of a superintendent of building and grounds would defer making a report <br /> until they could complete interviewing all applicants for the position. <br /> Commissioner McLeod and Kelly presented a written report <br /> on the institution of a purchase order system. After discussion, Commiss- <br /> ioner McLeod moved the adoption of the following: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that County purchases in <br /> excess of $5. 00 will be made in accordance with the <br /> following system: <br />
