Amkt <br /> • <br /> 3-57 C' r c <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONS FOR <br /> LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> TUESDAY, 6 JULY, 1965 <br /> 0 <br /> The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br /> of Lee convened in the Commissioners' Room at the Lee County Courthouse at <br /> 10:00 o'clock A. M. on Tuesday, the 6th of July, 1965, since Monday, the 5th day <br /> of July, 1965, was a public holiday under General Statute 103-4. Those present <br /> were Chairman John E. Dotterer and Commissioners Sion H. Kelly, J.T. Ledwell, <br /> Max McLeod, and Charles Robert Yow. None of the Commissioners were absent. <br /> Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br /> was transacted: <br /> The meeting was opened by prayer given by the Reverend Don <br /> Carson. <br /> The draft of the minutes of the June 7th, 1965, were corrected and <br /> as corrected those minutes and the minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held <br /> on June 28th, 1965 were approved and ordered recorded. <br /> Bids were received and opened for maintenance of typewriters and <br /> other office equipment. Bids were received as follows: <br /> Mac's Typewriter Service $205.00 <br /> Glasco Business Machines $415.00 <br /> Commissioner Kelly moved that the low bid of Mac's Typewriter Service be accepted. <br /> Commissioner Yow seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the resolution was <br /> unanimously adopted as follows: <br /> AYE: Kelly, Ledwell, McLeod, Yow and Dotterer <br /> NO: None <br /> There was a discussion about insurance on the County property. <br /> Commissioner McLeod reported that the advisory committee had not delivered a <br /> report to him. Chairman Dotterer reported that he had renewed the present policy <br /> as an interim measure to prevent a lapse in coverage. His actions were approved by <br /> the Board and Commissioner McLeod was requested to have the insurance advisory <br /> committee report their recommendations by the next meeting. Commissioner Kelly <br /> moved that the liability insurance on the two motor vehicles be increased to $100,000 <br /> bodily injury each person; $300,000 bodily injury each accident; and $10, 000 property <br /> damage. Commissioner McLeod seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br /> adopted. <br />
