February 7th, 1966 <br /> The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Lee <br /> County, North Carolina, convened in the Commuissioner'a Room at the Lee <br /> County Courthouse. on Monday, February 7th, 1966, at 10:00 a. to. Those <br /> present were Chairman John E. Chatterer and Commissioners Sion H. Kelly, <br /> J. T. LedweII, Mu McLeod, and Charles Robert Yaw. None of the <br /> Co umisnianera were absent. <br /> Chairman John F. utterer presided and the following business <br /> was transacted: <br /> The meeting was opened by prayer given by Reverend Norman <br /> Whitney, Factor of the Broadway Presbyterian Church. Broadway, North <br /> Carolina. <br /> Co unisaloner Lefton moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> BE IT RES( LVl D by to Board of Conic lstifoners <br /> of Lee County, as follows: <br /> (1) That the attached stipulation by and between <br /> Lee County and Carolina Power & Light • ',spay Is <br /> approved as to form and content. <br /> (1) That Kenneth A. Hoyle. County Attorney, 1s <br /> authorized to execute and deliver said stipulation to the <br /> State Board of Assessment for and on Emboli of the County. <br /> Commissioner Vow seconded the merlon and upon a vote it was <br /> unanimously adopted. <br /> Commissioner Le oil moved that a jury be drawn for the Civil <br /> Term of Superior Court to begin on Monday. February 28, 1966. <br /> C rtuniesioner Yaw seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br /> unanimously adopted. <br /> The Jury Boa was brought ltato the jury Room and unlocked. <br /> Scrolls were drown by Mary Ellen Nswhcutser, a child of six years of ago <br /> from division number one of the Jury Box, as follows: <br />
