MINUTES OF THE, REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, March 4th, 1968 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, North Carolina, convened at 10-00 o'clock a. m., on Monday, March 4, .1968, in the Commissioners' Room of the Lee County Courthouse. Those present were Chairman John E. Dotterer, Commissioners Max McLeod, A. E. White, Franklin D. Wicker, and Charles Robert Yow. None of the Commissioners were absent.- Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted:. The Clerk reported to the Board that the bond order entitled "Bond Order authorizing the issuance of $750, 000 County Court House Bonds of the Counts r of Lee which had been introduced on February 16, 1968, has been published in then= Sanford Daily Herald on February 21, 1968, with notice that the Board of Commissioner would hold a public hearing-thereon on March 4, 1968, at 10 o'clock a. m. Commissioner White moved that the Board proceed to hold a public hearing on the bond order.. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker and was unanimously adopted. At 10:00 o'clock a. m. , the Chairman announced that the Board would hear any citizen or taxpayer who desired to be heard with respect to the bond order. At the direction of the Chairman the Clerk read the bond order and the published notice of hearing. After the Board had heard all persons who requested to be heard, Commissioner NIcLeod moved that the public hearing be closed. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker and was unanimously adopted. The Clerk reported to the Board that the bond order entitled "Bond Order authorizing the issuance of $5, 000, 000 School Bonds of the County of Lee," which had been introduced on February 16, 1968, had been published in the Sanford Daily Herald on February 21, 1968, with notice that the Board.of Commissioners would hold a pubiis hearing thereon on March 4, 1968, at 10 o'clock a. in. Commissioner White. moved that the, Board proceed to. hold a public hearing on the bond order. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker and was unanimously adopted. At 10:05 o'clock a. m., the Chairman announced that the Board would hear any citizen or taxpayer who desired to be heard with respect to the bond order. At the direction of the Chairman, the Clerk read the bond order-and the published notice of hearing. After- the Board had heard all persons who requested to be heard, Commissioner McLeod moved that the public hearing be closed. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker.and was unanimously adopted.
