MINUTES OF THE, REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, March 4th, 1968 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, <br />North Carolina, convened at 10-00 o'clock a. m., on Monday, March 4, .1968, in the <br />Commissioners' Room of the Lee County Courthouse. Those present were Chairman <br />John E. Dotterer, Commissioners Max McLeod, A. E. White, Franklin D. Wicker, <br />and Charles Robert Yow. None of the Commissioners were absent.- Chairman John <br />E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted:. <br />The Clerk reported to the Board that the bond order entitled "Bond <br />Order authorizing the issuance of $750, 000 County Court House Bonds of the Counts r <br />of Lee which had been introduced on February 16, 1968, has been published in then= <br />Sanford Daily Herald on February 21, 1968, with notice that the Board of Commissioner <br />would hold a public hearing-thereon on March 4, 1968, at 10 o'clock a. m. <br />Commissioner White moved that the Board proceed to hold a public <br />hearing on the bond order.. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker and was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />At 10:00 o'clock a. m. , the Chairman announced that the Board <br />would hear any citizen or taxpayer who desired to be heard with respect to the bond <br />order. At the direction of the Chairman the Clerk read the bond order and the <br />published notice of hearing. <br />After the Board had heard all persons who requested to be heard, <br />Commissioner NIcLeod moved that the public hearing be closed. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Wicker and was unanimously adopted. <br />The Clerk reported to the Board that the bond order entitled "Bond <br />Order authorizing the issuance of $5, 000, 000 School Bonds of the County of Lee," <br />which had been introduced on February 16, 1968, had been published in the Sanford <br />Daily Herald on February 21, 1968, with notice that the Board.of Commissioners <br />would hold a pubiis hearing thereon on March 4, 1968, at 10 o'clock a. in. <br />Commissioner White. moved that the, Board proceed to. hold a public <br />hearing on the bond order. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wicker and <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />At 10:05 o'clock a. m., the Chairman announced that the Board <br />would hear any citizen or taxpayer who desired to be heard with respect to the bond <br />order. At the direction of the Chairman, the Clerk read the bond order-and the <br />published notice of hearing. <br />After- the Board had heard all persons who requested to be heard, <br />Commissioner McLeod moved that the public hearing be closed.
