M <br />BOOK 7 PAGE 21 9 <br />0 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY <br />OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Friday, May 10th, 1968 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for Lee County, North Carolina, met in the Commissioner's Room of <br />the Lee County Courthouse at 2:00 P. M. in accordance with the <br />motion of adjournment passed at the May 6th, 1968 session. Those <br />present were Chairman John E. Dotterer, Commissioners Max McLeod, <br />A. E. White, and Franklin D. Wicker. Commissioner Charles Robert <br />Yow was absent. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />Mr. Henry Poe, Chairman of the County Advisory Board on <br />Parks and Recreation, appeared before the Board and presented <br />Mr. W. W. Curruthers, Director, of the Sanford Recreation and <br />Parks Commission. Mr. Carruthers presented the budget requests <br />for programs open to county citizens. Mr. Bob Brown of the <br />County Recreation Advisory Board appeared before the Board and <br />presented a budget request for operation of seven playgrounds <br />during the summer months. <br />The budget request for the Sandhills Community Action <br />Programs was presented to the Board. <br />Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Collector, appeared before the <br />Board and discussed the appropriate step in the pay plan for the <br />new clerical help in his office. <br />Mr. E. M. Underwood, Jr., Auditor, appeared before the <br />Board and reviewed, the budget estimate, fund by fund for each <br />department and agency of the county government. <br />There being no further business to come before the <br />session the meeting eas adjourned sine die. <br />4~7 (;P~ <br />U V131Y L• LV11Lltu <br />CHAIRMAN <br />
