eco 7 PACE 404 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA FEBRUARY 2, 1970 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, North Carolina, met in the Commissioner's room of the County Office Building at the corner of Steele and Wicker Streets in the City of Sanford at 10:00 o'clock A. M. on Monday, February 2, 1970, the same being the hour, date and place duly established for the holding of such meeting. The Chairman called the meeting to order and on roll call the following answered present: A. E. White, Perry White, Franklin D.. Wicker, John E. Dotterer and the following were absent: Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on January 5, 1970, were approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker joined the meeting and participated in the further deliberations of the Board. Miss Peggy Hussey, Social Worker in charge of the Department of Social Services appeared before the Board and reviewed the fund balances available for the programs carried on by the department. After discussion of the programs and the financing of them, Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved the adoption of the following resolution: . Be it resolved that the sum of $4, 500.00 be appropriated from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund and allocated as follows: $4, 000.00 to the Boarding Home Care item in the General Relief Fund. $500.00 to the Outside Poor item in the General Relief Fund. rV. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the "Ayes" and "Nays" were as follows: AYES: A. E. White, Perry White, Franklin D. Wicker, Gordon A. Wicker and John E. Dotterer. NAY: None The Chairman thereupon declared the motion carried and the resolution adopted.
