:i <br />11 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR <br />LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, September 17, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />Lee County convened in the Commissioner's Room of the County <br />Office Building at the corner of Steele and Wicker Streets in <br />Sanford, North Carolina, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, <br />September 17, 1973. Those present were Commissioners William H. <br />Cooper, Hal L. Hancock, J. Eugene Rogers, Franklin D. Wicker, <br />and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present, <br />and the meeting opened for business. <br />Chairman Gordon A. Wicker presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The meeting was opened by a prayer given by the Chairman. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting, held on September 4, <br />1973, were considered; and the minutes were amended to delete the <br />' name of T. Wava Mansfield as a member of the Lee County Planning <br />Board and to substitute in lieu thereon the name of Cecil Cameron. <br />With such amendment, the minutes were approved and ordered filed <br />upon motion of Commissioner Cooper seconded by Commissioner Rogers <br />which motion was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Cooper reported that he had talked with Mr. <br />Budd and that no information about the allocation of funds for <br />secondary roads was available at the present time. Commissioner <br />F. Wicker asked that road petitions be sent to several parties and <br />also requested that a copy of the letter received from the division <br />engineer concerning Secondary Road No. 1203 be sent to Mr. Gilmer <br />Laws at Lemon Springs. <br />
