- w4 0 <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH <br />CAROLINA <br />Friday, September 27, 1974 <br />The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Lee <br />County, North Carolina, called by the Chairman, pursuant to General <br />Statute 153A-40, convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second <br />floor of the County Office Building, at the corner of Steel and Wicker Streets <br />in the City of Sanford, at 1:00 o'clock p. m., on Friday, September 27, 1974, <br />the same being the time, date and place specified in the call issued by the <br />Chairman. Commissioners Hal L. Hancock, J. Eugene Rogers, Franklin D. <br />Wicker and Gordon A. Wicker and William H. Cooper were present. None of <br />the Commissioners were absent. <br />Chairman Gordon A. Wicker presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The Clerk advised the Board that he had received a deed from the <br />Sanford-Lee County Board of Education for its property known as the old <br />Administrative Building and its old School Bus Garage site. Upon motion of <br />Commissioner J. Eugene Rogers, seconded by Commissioner Hal L. Hancock, <br />which motion was unanimously adopted, the Chairman and the Clerk were <br />authorized to execute a deed of conveyance for the third floor of the Wilrik <br />Building to the Sanford-Lee County Board of Education in exchange for the <br />property conveyed in exchange for the old Administrative Building and the <br />old School Bus Garage site. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the following resolution <br />be adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the Local Government Commission of <br />North Carolina has informed the Board of Commissioners <br />that it has sold in the manner prescribed by law the $600, 000 <br />Technical Institute Bonds of the County of Lee, dated June 1, <br />1974, and that the contract of sale contemplates that the bonds <br />shall bear interest as hereinafter provided: NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the <br />County of Lee as follows: <br />The bonds hereinbefore described shall bear interest as <br />follows: <br />Bonds payable in each of the years 1976 to 1983, <br />inclusive, 7% per annum; bonds payable in each <br />of the years 1984 to 1987, inclusive, 5. 901o per annum; <br />bonds payable in each of the years 1988 to 1990, in- <br />clusive, 6% per annum; bonds payable in each of the <br />years 1991 to 1993, inclusive, 6. 10% per annum; and <br />bonds payable in each of the years 1994 to 1996, in- <br />clusive, . 6. 2576 per annum. <br />00u <br />
