BOOK. hst l ' MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, June 20, 1977 The Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina., convened on Monday, June 20, 1977, at 7 o'clock p, m., in the Commissioners Room of the County Office Building, at 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, Those present were Commissioners William H. Cooper, Clyde J. Rhyne, Franklin D. Wicker and Gordon A. Wicker. Comm- issioner John E. Dotterer was absent when the meeting opened. Chairman William H. Cooper presided and the following business was transacted. The Reverend Bob Shepard, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, pronounced the invocation. The minutes of the regular meeting held on June 6, 1977, were approved upon motion of Commissioner Rhyne, seconded by Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, which motion was unanimously adopted. The Board discussed the appointment to be made to the Sanford-Lee County Airport Commission, Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker nominated Mr. Bob Jones to serve on the Airport Commission, There were no other nominations and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the nominations be closed and Mr. Jones be declared elected by acclamation. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted, The Board next considered the appointment to the County Social Services Board, Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne nominated Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker to serve as the member on the Social Services Board. There were no further nominations and Commissioner Rhyne moved that the nominations be closed and Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker be declared elected by acclamation. Comm- issioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Board next considered the appointments to the County Parks and Recreation Commission, however, no action was taken at this time. The Board next considered appointments to the County Personnel. Board. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne nominated Mr. Jack Dossenbach, Jr., to serve as a member of the County Pers-)nnel Board, Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting at this point and participated in the further deliberations of the B,>ard. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the nominations for this position on the County Personnel Board be closed and that Mr. Dossenbach be declared elected by acclamation. Commissioner Rhyne seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted.
