<br />Monday, September'19, 1977
<br />The regular meeting of the Board of Comenissioners',of the County
<br />of Lee,. convened in:the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County
<br />Office Building at 7,o'clock'p.'m.,, on 'Monday, -September 19, 1977. Those
<br />present when the meeting opened .were Commissioners William, H. `Cooper, Clyde
<br />J.' Rhyne and Gordon A.- Wicker. Commissioners John E... Dotterer and Franklin
<br />D:. Wicker were absent but later joined the meeting, • Chairman. William H. Cooper
<br />presided and the following business was transacted:
<br />The minutes-of'the regular"meeting of Tuesday, September, 1977;
<br />were-approved and order recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Rhyne, which
<br />motion was duly. seconded by Commissioner Gordon A.. Wicker, and upon a vote,
<br />was unanimously adopted. F
<br />Commissioner Gordon A Wicker presented a petition requesting
<br />the paving of Secondary Road No, 1561, whtch.isfkno`wn_as.thet"Pterce,'r•Road; in
<br />the vicinity. of Oldham's Lake.: Commissioner. Gorden A`'W c&er moved the intro-
<br />duction of the following resolution:,
<br />WHEREAS, ;the Board of County Commissioners
<br />of the. County of Lee, has investigated,the..condition of'the above.
<br />described road which is now a part of {thetsyst_em,of iroads main=tained by the,State Highway Commission,. and-_which is indicated in
<br />red on'the' attached. map; and
<br />WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the, services _
<br />rendered by said road and th_e traffic demands of said county,. it is
<br />deemed necessary that said-road be impro'vedin order to better serve
<br />the interests of the people'of this county.,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, 'BE IT RESOLVED, 'and the Board
<br />of County Commissioners hereby approved and request that the State
<br />'Highway Commission make the following improvements,in the above
<br />described road: .Paved.-,
<br />Commissioner Clyde J. 'Rhyne seconded the motion and upon,a vote
<br />it was unanimously adopted.
<br />Commissioner Gordon A:' Wicker'presented a`.petition requesting
<br />maintenance improvement to Pearl__Road located across the highway from the Lee
<br />County School: Bus Garage, Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption .
<br />of the following resolution: -
<br />WHEREAS, the, Board of County Commissioners' of the.
<br />County of,Lee,, has investigated the condition of the above described road,
<br />which is now a part of the system of roads maintained by-the State
<br />Highway Commission, and which%is indicated in red on the attached map;
<br />and
<br />_ WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the -services
<br />rendered by said road and the traffic demands-of, said.-.County, it is
<br />deemed necessary that said road be-improved I 'iii order to better'serve
<br />the interests of the people of this County. -
