Aux 9 ~7;v 500 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, February 6, 1978 The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, February 6, 1978, at 9:30 o'clock a. m. Those present when the meeting opened were Commissioners William H. Cooper, John E. Dotterer, Clyde J. Rhyne and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker was absent when the meeting opened. Chairman William H. Cooper presided and the following business was transacted: Reverend David Early, Associate Minister of the First Baptist Church of Sanford gave the invocation. The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 16, 1978, were approved upon motion of Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne, duly seconded by Comm- issioner John E. Dotterer, which motion was unanimously adopted, upon a vote. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker reported on road matters. Chairman Cooper reported that Mrs. Hollers, of the Highway Commission, wanted to meet with the Board at 7:30 o'clock p. m. , on Tuesday, February 21 st, and it would be his suggestion to the Board that the regular meeting on Monday, February 20th, be adjourned until that date and time. The Chairman directed that the news media be advised of Mrs. Hollers meeting with the Board. The monthly bills as listed by the County Finance Officer were reviewed and approved for payment upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was unanimously adopted-upon._ak. vote./ Department reports were distributed to the members of the Board. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of the following resolution pertaining to the application of.the Triangle J Council of Governments for assistance in implementing improvements in Emergency Medical Services: WHEREAS, Lee County is concerned with the pro- vision of health care services to its citizens in general and emergency medical services in particular, and supports the development of a comprehensive regional Emergency Medical Services System, and WHEREAS, the Emergency Medical Services Planning project for HSA IV, conducted under the auspices of the Triangle J Council of Governments and the Kerr-Tar Council of Governments is presenting an application for assistance in implementing improve- ments and development of these services in our county and other counties of HSA IV, and
