MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, March 13, 1978 The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North'Carolina, at 1:00 o'clock p, m., on Monday, March 13, 1978, the same being the place, time, and date specified in the motion of adjournment. Those present were Commissioners Clyde J. Rhyne, Franklin D. Wicker and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioners William H. Cooper and John E. Dotterer were absent. Vice-Chairman Franklin D. Wicker presided and the following business was transacted: The bids for a cab and chassis to be used for the solid waste disposal were opened and the bids were. as follows: The Simpson Company 35, 802.00 Carolina Waste Equipment Company 38, 316.00 Holt Truck & Tractor Company 37, 948.00 Alternate bid of The Simpson Company for Mack Truck 37, 654. 60 After review and discussion of the bids, it was concluded that the purchase of the Mack Truck would be more advantageous to the County and Comm- issioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the Simpson Company's low bid of $37, 654. 60 be accepted and that funds be appropriated from the Revenue Sharing Funds.for such purchase. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commi-ssioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commiss- ioners Clyde J. Rhyne, Franklin D. Wicker and Gordon A. Wicker voted for it and no one voted against it. The bids for a vehicle to be used by Crime Prevention and Juvenile Officer were opened and the bids were as follows: Dowdy Ford, Inc. Lafayette Motor Sales, Inc. 5, 478. 79 5,321.34 Commissioner Rhyne moved that the low bid of Lafayette Motor Sales, Inc, for $5, 321. 34 be accepted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Commissioners Clyde J. Rhyne, Gordon A. Wicker and Franklin D. Wicker all voted for it and no one voted against it.
