833 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />J THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, March 24, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p. m., on Monday, <br />March 24, 1986, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. <br />Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, was <br />absent due to illness. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present <br />and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />The invocation was given by Mr. W. B. Hartman, Jr. , the County <br />Manager. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, March <br />10, 1986, were considered, and upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously <br />adopted upon a vote, were approved and ordered recorded as the official minutes <br />of said meeting. <br />Mrs. Beatrice Fields appeared before the Board and presented the Budget <br />Request on behalf of the Finance Office. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot appeared before the Board and presented the Budget <br />Request on behalf of the Planning and Inspection Department. <br />Mr. Nathan Crissman appeared before the Board and presented the Budget <br />Request on behalf of the Tax Collector's office. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan appeared before the Board and presented the Budget <br />Request on behalf of the Grants Administration Department. <br />Sheriff James Holt and Deputy Sheriff Estes appeared before the Board <br />and presented the Budget Request with respect to the Sheriff's Department and <br />the Jail. <br />
